The Marketing & Communications committee aims to ensure all communications, marketing, and social media content is clear, concise, and engaging for our patrons. We are always welcoming folks who have an interest in graphic design, writing, social media, and networking to join our team.

Production Resources

The Production Resources Committee supports all the magic behind the scenes including costumes, props, set design, set construction, sound design, lighting design and more! Hopefully, whether you are a cast member, a friend, a family member, or a behind-the-scenes sort of soul, you’ll see yourself at some point participating on the Production Resources team — as we strive to create theatrical magic for our audiences — while also having some creative and satisfying fun along the way. All About Sets from: Bob Monroe

Basically, it’s mostly about set-building. And then, cleaning up after set-building. And also keeping our tools mostly organized and batteries charged, and floors swept of sawdust, etc.  Of course, a good-natured willingness to come back on another set-building day to continue the above goes a long way to helping NCT get ready for Opening Night. Did I mention there may also be set-painting opportunities? (NEAT painting can be SO satisfying — and easy to clean up, too.)

There are other Production Resources that need tending to from day to day, and from one run to the next — but hopefully the above informs you of some basic tasks & activities that need doing and may interest you. (I can assure you of this: there is just no way I can build a typical NCT set all by my lonesome. This sort of community endeavor really does “take a village.”)

Whether you are very skilled at the sort of things described above, or else you are a total novice, matters not. What’s KEY to the Production Resources group is everyone’s  cooperation, attention to detail, friendliness, initiative, a willingness to help, to learn and then to help some more. Oh. And fingers. We definitely  want you to always go home with just as many as you brought to set building that day. (Which is another way of saying that SAFETY — yours and everyone else’s — is pretty darn important to NCT. If you ever have any safety questions or concerns about a task: stop and ask.)
